3) $ unzip p6810189_10204_Linux-x86.zip
4) Update Oracle Time Zone Definitions
SELECT version FROM v$timezone_file;
SQL> SELECT version FROM v$timezone_file;
VERSION
----------

If lesser or higher than 4 then read NoteID 553812.1 "Actions for the DSTv4 update in the Release 10.2.0.4
patchset".
5) set Env Variables
$ ORACLE_HOME=Oracle_home
$ ORACLE_SID=sid
$ export ORACLE_HOME ORACLE_SID
6) Run interactively
% cd patchset_directory/Disk1
% ./runInstaller
When prompted, run the $ORACLE_HOME/root.sh
